Engineered stone is created with a mixture of natural stone such as quartz aggregates together with colour pigments and polyester resins. Engineered stone has a “softer” feel than granite and is almost totally non-porous, so doesn't need to be sealed. Durable and difficult to scratch, Caesarstone is non-porous, waterproof, mould and mildew resistant making it perfect for use in kitchens and bathrooms
One trend that has been consistent across all of this year's international design fairs is that concrete is in. From walls to floors to the kitchen benchtop we're loving the semi-industrial look in all kinds of spaces.
Unfortunately putting concrete in the kitchen can be an expensive and heavy process and the hard, cold surface isn't friendly to ceramic dinnerware or fastily put down wine glasses. Thankfully there are a number of other surfaces that replicate the look, and sometimes even the feel of concrete without the weight or danger to your dinner plates.
