James & Michelle's dream kitchen. Part Two: Requirements

1)      CURRENT AND FUTURE REQUIREMENTS

When we started on the plans for our new home we knew we needed three bedrooms; ideally with an en-suite and a decent sized wardrobe for the master bedroom . Most importantly though, we wanted to open up our home so that we could spend time as a family more easily. Our current home had a wall between the kitchen and living room, and no separate dining room meaning that I couldn’t keep an eye on the kids while preparing dinner, and James and I were eating on our knees in front of the TV.  We really wanted a separate dining area so that we could all eat at the table when the kids were big enough; and an open plan kitchen and living area so that we could all be together. I like to bake – when I have time – so having a kitchen that inspired me was important.
