Texture can take a room from good to great, adding warmth and visual interest to an otherwise “flat” colour palette. As the Formica Group design team observed at imm cologne’s LivingKitchen®, common materials became major focal points with the addition of new and revisited textures.
Wood textures were seen in-register and included deep ticking, sawcut and scraped.
Our new Formica® laminate Naturelle™ finish, a dry-wax appearance and an embossed “ticking” texture that imparts a realistic grain effect, reflects this trend. Naturelle™ is ideal for any surface where you desire the character of wood, but need the easy-care attributes of laminate.
In addition, raw, rustic wood textures continued to be on-trend and added natural realism to earth-inspired design.
Raised and boldly geometric textures modernized materials such as wood, ceramic tiles and plastic.
Caesarstone Motivo offers four exquisite patterns incorporating a sculptured pattern into the surface using an exclusive, patented technology.
Subtle and soft textures such as brushed, flamed and honed enhanced the natural beauty of the intricate patterns within stone.
